Hello! I'm Talei Payet, and I'm so glad you're here.
As an AMEB Grade 8 qualified pianist, I love helping people discover the joy and confidence that comes from learning the piano. My passion is teaching children aged 6 to 10, creating lessons that are fun, engaging and designed to build strong musical foundations while developing a lifelong love of music.
I also have a special place in my heart for adults who have always wanted to learn but never had the confidence to take that first step. This passion was inspired by my grandmother, who always dreamed of learning the piano but never had the opportunity. Her story reminds me that it's never too late to begin. If you've always wanted to play but felt it was too late or lacked the confidence, I'd love to help you take that first step. I'll guide you at your own pace in a relaxed, supportive environment where you can learn without pressure or judgement.
My piano studio, based in the Pakenham area, has been created to be a warm, comfortable and safe place where every student feels welcome. Your wellbeing and peace of mind are important to me, and I hold current Working with Children accreditation.
One thing that makes my studio different is that I intentionally keep the number of students I teach quite small. I believe every student deserves my full attention, so I limit the number of lesson places available each year. My focus has always been on quality teaching rather than quantity, allowing me to provide personalised lessons and help every student reach their full potential.
